Here at Frive, we take what our customers say seriously. When you’re not happy with something, we do something about it. That’s why, in response to recent customer feedback, we’ve upgraded our film lids! Our new film lids are more durable and easier to peel – meaning no more rips, tears, or leaks.

Why have we changed our lids?

Over the last few weeks, you let us know that our old film lids were sticking a little too well, making them tricky to peel back. We’re sorry about that. After lots of testing, research, and working with different suppliers to find the best possible solution – we’ve found a new film that comes off in one piece, that is just as strong and secure as the old one.

But are they any good?

The new lids have been rigorously tested on our side, and we’re super happy with the results. Feedback has been positive, and customer issues related to packaging are the lowest they’ve been for over a year.

Why don’t you bring back your hard plastic lids?

We know some of you loved our previous bowls and plastic lids. But, these weren’t a long-term solution. Unfortunately, they would sometimes get damaged in transit, which led to some customers finding plastic in their food - not tasty and not ideal! So, our new and improved film lids ensure that your food is kept as fresh as possible for longer, while reducing the risk of damage in the post.

Will there be any more changes?

We’re always listening to customer feedback, and are constantly looking at ways to improve our products and packaging. For now, we understand most of you are happy with the new film lids, so we don’t plan on changing them anytime soon, but we are working on plenty of exciting new developments in other areas of our packaging.

Can your packaging be recycled?

Our food trays and sauce pots are recyclable, and the film lid can be recycled with soft plastics. Our ice packs can be reused or emptied (washed down the sink with warm water) and recycled. Additionally, our outer packaging, including the insulation and cardboard box, is recyclable.

It's not just our packaging that’s good for the planet – our food is too. We source our ingredients locally where possible to try and reduce our carbon footprint even further. And, each of our meals is crafted with 100% whole foods - free from artificial ingredients.
